
We are excited to announce the arrival of The Big Thicket Cat Sanctuary in Silsbee, Texas! As an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are dedicated to controlling feral cat population through spaying and neutering programs, as well as providing low-cost clinic assistance. Our mission includes establishing a rescue program, an adoption center, and fostering families for abandoned cats. We also aim to educate the public on proper cat care and support feral cat colonies during extreme weather conditions with shelters and food. We can't do this without you!

Welcome to the Big Thicket Cat Sanctuary, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to rescueing cats and providing them wth a haven. When fully operational in fall 2025 we will not only offer shelter and rehoming services but also low cost spay/neuter services to help control the feral cat population in SE Texas. Visit Milo's Cat Cafe and our Event Center when it opens (already under construction) where we support the feral cat population, When fully open we will offer a full array of services, from low cost veteranary services to a public wellness trail where the public can exercise in a beautiful location while socializing with senior cats that cannot find homes. We are funded by grants and tax-deductable donations and always have needs. Please consider making a donation or contributing to our food pantry.

Our Board is composed of volunteers that are local citizens that are highly experienced in cat care, including vet technicians, bottle feeding experts, cat behavior, people proficient in humanely trapping and transporting feral cats, Each board member is passionate about caring for cats
